*Materials & Process Engineer* 48 Months Contract Savannah GA (Onsite Role) The client is looking for a *mid-to-senior level engineer* with strong *Materials & Processes (M&P) expertise* who can contribute to client's complex aircraft development projects. *Core Requirements* * *Education*: Bachelor’s in engineering (mandatory). Advanced degree preferred (Master’s/PhD can reduce required years of experience). * *Experience*: * 5+ years in a specific technical discipline, or * 10+ years across multiple engineering disciplines. * *Role Purpose*: Support design, analysis, and liaison engineering for products. Contribute to planning and coordination of engineering projects. *Technical Skills & Responsibilities* *Engineering Contributions*: * Provide specialized technical assistance to team members. * Use advanced techniques to solve difficult engineering problems. * Develop independent approaches to solutions balancing cost, schedule, and technical product. * Act as liaison with external representatives. *Materials & Processes Engineering*: * Generate and communicate technical requirements to suppliers and internal teams (Powerplant, ECS, Structures, Electrical, Mechanical). * Select materials suitable for pressurized and unpressurized environments. * Knowledge of environmental regulations affecting materials (REACH, TSCA, EPA). * Revise and maintain M&P specifications. *Tools & Systems*: * Experience with *Smarteam* and *Catia* for design review and workflow management. * *Testing & Documentation*: * Produce *EAR-approved test plans and reports*. * *Manufacturing Liaison*: * Demonstrated success with *Material Review Board (MRB)* integration. * Implement continuous improvement projects. *Other Requirements* * Must be *onsite full-time*. * Must be *legally qualified to work on ITAR projects* (U.S. export control compliance). * Ability to stay updated with new developments in aircraft engineering and recommend innovations. * Work under limited supervision, with authority to make independent technical decisions.
