A bartender will consistently display a friendly demeanor, while providing anticipatory guest service in a fast-paced environment. This is a seasonal role, compensated at $8.75/hr + tips. ESSENTIAL DUTIESTo understand and practice the serving of alcoholic beverages in accordance with Vermont State Liquor LawsAdhere to safety and sanitation procedures; maintain facility cleanliness and organization of workstationsKeep supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or situations needing immediate attentionSet-up bar: stock beer, wine, glassware etc. as neededPromote and sell productsAdhere to sound cash-management proceduresAttend all shift and training meetingsDaily cash-outs and deposits, as assignedAdditional duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS1-year bartending experience in a high-volume food and beverage environment preferredPossesses a proficient knowledge of liquor quality and preparation of alcoholic beveragesAbility to work independently and in a team environmentCertified to serve alcohol in accordance with Vermont State Liquor LawsMust be organized, be able to multitask and be able to make quick independent decisionsAbility to remain calm during stressful situations and adapt well to many different situations and changesPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
