divh2Retail Manager - Firearms/h2pThe Retail Manager - Firearms supervises the firearms department within the store to include compliance with ATF, state and federal laws, and company policies and procedures. Additionally, the role is responsible for merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales enhancements, staff selection and development, team training and coaching, and customer service experience./ppEssential Functions:/pulliSupports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers./liliExecutes all sales plans to meet or exceed financial plans as set by the company./liliOpens and Closes the Store and has responsibility for building keys and alarm codes./liliObtains Manager on Duty responsibilities./liliLeads firearm compliance sales standards in the Firearms department to ensure compliance with ATF, state, local laws, company policies and procedures, including 4473, 3310, state and internally required firearm forms./liliLeads firearm safe handling, safety, operations, and customer experience standards including line management and queuing within the firearms department./liliMaintains merchandising of firearms as set by the Corporate Office./liliEnsures all firearms operations related tasks are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with all policies, procedures, and regulations./liliPartners with the Gun Vault Specialist Team to ensure compliance./liliStaffs the Department with service oriented associates; participates in interviewing and selection, coordinates training, prepares / approves performance appraisals, recommends merit / promotional increases, prepares weekly work schedules, coaches, and motivates associates to promote positive customer relations and a productive team-oriented work environment./liliOversees firearms compliance coaching and assists with investigations when necessary./liliResolves customer and associate issues./liliCarries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Companys policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring training, planning, assigning and directing work; measuring and evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems./liliProvides a legendary experience for every customer, every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers needs, making product recommendations based off this analysis, promoting programs including, but not limited to CLUB Membership, customer feedback surveys and In-Store Pick-up./liliAll Other Duties As Assigned/li/ulpExperience/Qualifications:/pulliMinimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent/liliPreferred Degree: Choose an item. in ________ (if applicable)/liliCertificate(s) or License(s):/liliYears of experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in Retail Management that includes firearms safe handling practices, skilled in the accurate ID of firearms and ammunition, as well as their classification and mechanical operation./li/ulpKnowledge, Skills, and Ability:/pulliAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages./liliAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions./liliAbility to interpret a variety of other financial, legal, and technical information./liliAbility to read and analyze certain reports./liliAbility to write reports and business correspondence./liliAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers, associates, customers, and the public./liliAbility to conduct meetings and presentations to groups./liliProficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems./liliDemonstrated strong interpersonal skills./liliAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, associates, customers and with the Corporate Staff./liliDemonstrated use of Team concept of Management./li/ulpTravel Requirements:/pulliN/A/li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/ppRegularly walks, stands, and does computer work./ppOccasionally sits./ppSeldom/Never lifts up to 50 lbs./ppAdditional Physical Requirements/pulliConstantly communicate with others to exchange information./liliConstantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers./liliConstantly assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned./liliLight work that includes constantly lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds, occasionally./liliOccasionally, ascend or descend ladders, stairs, step stools, etc./li/ulpIndependent Judgement:/ppPerforms duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives.
