We are a high volume manufacturing company located in Lititz, PA. We are looking for qualified candidates for full time positions in our Fasteners department. Position Description Fastener Setup Operator Basic Scope/Purpose: The setup operator will setup, operate and monitor essential flat die thread forming machines to produce a variety of fastener and other components in Aluminum, brass, steel and other alloys as required. Principal Accountabilities: Lead setup activity in a high mix environment, planning and executing multiple setups per week across department forming machines. Produce fasteners and other products using a variety of department machines, making necessary adjustments to meet quality criteria Support the team in Continuous improvement efforts to further improve and optimize our setup and production processes Troubleshoot feed system and forming equipment for any issues resulting in non-conforming products. Develop a plan of action and collaborate with engineering and the toolroom to drive timely resolution. Support the department by operating equipment as required. Performs visual inspection of products in process, ensuring consistent results during production runs. Report production results in Visual ERP in a timely and accurate manner. Reports quality and processing issues to supervisor Maintains a clean and organized work area. Trains new staff in the operation of the department equipment. Identifies a backup lead operator and executes training plan for setup knowledge transfer. Abide by and encourage PrecisionForm Behaviors Environmental, Health & Safety Collaborate with Department Supervisor to ensure operations are compliant with all safety & environmental requirements. Drive safety culture with pro-active hazard identification and communication to Management. Take personal responsibility for keeping yourself, co-workers and visitors free from injury by participating in and/or conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections, corrective actions and safety observations. Reinforce safety margins through active participation in incident investigations, corrective actions managed shift changes, toolbox talks, pre-tasking, STOP WORK, and task scanning. Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion and keep equipment in proper working condition.
