This role assists in coordinating maintenance activities, supports facility systems and production utilities, provides day-to-day guidance to facilities staff, and ensures issues are addressed promptly to minimize production disruption.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee daily facility maintenance and operations across production, bindery, warehouse, and office areas.Coordinate and perform preventative and corrective maintenance for building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, lighting, and general mechanical systems.Maintain production equipment infrastructure, including power, ventilation, temperature control, dust collection, and utilities, in coordination with production and engineering teams.Respond to urgent maintenance issues and troubleshoot facility-related problems to minimize downtime.Assign and provide direction to facilities or maintenance staff as needed.Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and service vendors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within scope.Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, or compliance issues and escalate as appropriate.Implement and support facility safety initiatives, including housekeeping standards, fire protection systems, emergency preparedness, and OSHA compliance.Assist with facility projects, upgrades, renovations, and capital improvements.Maintain maintenance records, work orders, inspection logs, and related documentation.Communicate facility status, issues, and priorities to relevant stakeholders.Perform other duties as assigned to support facility and production operations.Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or GED required; technical certification, trade school, or equivalent experience preferred35 years of facilities or maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; print or paper industry experience preferredWorking knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systemsDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot facility-related issues and prioritize tasks effectivelyExperience working with vendors and contractorsAbility to lead by example and provide guidance to maintenance staff without full managerial authorityStrong communication and organizational skillsBasic computer skills for work order systems, email, and documentationPhysical Demands & Work Environment Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as requiredAbility to lift up to 50 pounds unassistedExposure to a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and moving machineryMay require off-shift, weekend, or on-call availability to support production needsEqual Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.For further information, please review the Know Your Rights notice from the Department of Labor.PI3a2527d30c90-26289-40192574
