Lights, camera, cats! Happy Cats Haven is seeking a creative, tech-savvy volunteer to become our dedicated TikTok Content Creator. If you're passionate about social media storytelling, love cats, and want to help us reach a whole new generation of animal lovers, this is your chance to make viral magic while saving lives!About the Role:As our TikTok Content Creator volunteer, you'll be the creative force behind our TikTok presence, capturing the adorable, funny, and heartwarming moments that make our cats irresistible. You'll help us connect with younger audiences, increase engagement, and ultimately find more forever homes for our adoptable cats through the power of short-form video content.Responsibilities:Visit the shelter once a week to film engaging video content of our cats and shelter activitiesCreate and post a minimum of 3 TikTok videos per week showcasing our adoptable cats, behind-the-scenes moments, and rescue storiesDevelop creative concepts that align with current TikTok trends while highlighting our missionEdit videos using TikTok's native tools or other editing apps to create polished, engaging contentWrite compelling captions and use relevant hashtags to maximize reach and engagementMonitor comments and engage with our TikTok community in a positive, brand-appropriate mannerTrack performance metrics and adjust content strategy to grow followers and engagementCollaborate with our Social Media Team to ensure consistent messaging across platformsStay current on TikTok trends, sounds, and best practices to keep our content fresh and relevantPreferred Skills (bonus but not necessary):Experience creating content for TikTok or other short-form video platformsVideo editing skills and familiarity with editing apps (CapCut, InShot, etc.)Understanding of TikTok algorithm, trends, and best practicesPhotography and videography skillsCreative storytelling abilityKnowledge of social media analyticsExperience with cats or animal behavior (helpful for capturing great moments!)What You'll Gain:Portfolio-building experience in social media content creationHands-on practice with one of the fastest-growing social media platformsCreative freedom to experiment with trends and develop your unique styleThe joy of showcasing adorable cats to thousands of viewersConnection with a passionate community of animal loversPurrs, head-butts, and the satisfaction of meaningful work that makes a differenceThe knowledge that your creative content directly helps cats find their forever homesNetworking opportunities in the nonprofit and digital marketing spaceGet Your Kitty Therapy at Happy Cats!Ready to help us go viral for a good cause?
