Medical Lab Technician

Play a Vital Role Behind the Scenes of Patient CareJoin our laboratory team as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), where your work directly supports accurate diagnoses and life-saving treatments. In this role, you’ll perform a wide range of routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, and other specimens in a fast-paced clinical environment.Working under the general supervision of the Core Lab Supervisor and with guidance from experienced Medical Technologists, you’ll contribute to high-quality, timely diagnostic results that providers rely on every day.What You’ll DoPerform routine and specialized diagnostic laboratory testing in hematology and related areasAnalyze blood, body fluid, and environmental specimens with accuracy and attention to detailOperate and maintain automated and manual laboratory equipmentFollow established laboratory procedures, protocols, and quality control standardsEnsure accurate documentation and reporting of test resultsAssist with specimen collection, including venipuncture as neededTroubleshoot issues and apply problem-solving skills in a dynamic lab settingCollaborate with laboratory staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionalsMaintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and confidentiality standardsWhat You BringRequired EducationAssociate degree in Hematology, Chemical, Biological Laboratory Science, or Medical Laboratory Technology requiredOR in lieu of education, must be ASCP certifiedRequired ExperienceMinimum one year of laboratory experience (including hematology)New graduates from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program are considered to meet experience requirementsLicensure & CertificationASCP or NCA certification strongly preferredKey Skills & StrengthsKnowledge of laboratory methods, analytical principles, and hematology proceduresExperience with automated and manual laboratory equipmentStrong understanding of quality control and laboratory best practicesManual dexterity for specimen handling, venipuncture, and equipment calibrationCritical thinking and problem-solving skills in complex or variable situationsAbility to interpret written, verbal, and technical instructionsStrong communication and teamwork skills across clinical teamsComputer proficiency and familiarity with laboratory systemsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationEffective communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking)Why Join Us?Be part of a critical healthcare team supporting patient diagnosis and treatmentWork in a collaborative, high-quality laboratory environmentOpportunities to expand your technical skills and advance your careerSupportive team with a focus on safety, accuracy, and excellence
