It is very focused on SAM (Software Asset Management). That is the #1 skill.Who Will Be The Best FitSomeone who has real experience in ServiceNow SAM (not just ITSM, CMDB, or ITOM). They should be able to set up and configure SAM, not just use it. They must understand software licensing, compliance, and audits (very important for SAM). Candidates who have done ServiceNow + Workday integrations will stand out Key ResponsibilitiesLead the implementation and configuration of ServiceNow SAM (Software Asset Management) module. Manage processes for discovery, normalization, reconciliation, license compliance, and optimization. Customize and enhance ServiceNow applications with workflows, business rules, scripts, and reports. Build integrations between ServiceNow and external systems (e.g., Workday) using APIs and web services. Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure software assets align with compliance and procurement policies. Develop dashboards and reports to provide insights into license usage, compliance, and optimization. Must-Have Skills5+ years ServiceNow development/administration experience. 2–3+ years hands-on with ServiceNow SAM module (implementation + configuration). Strong knowledge of software licensing models, compliance, and audits. Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, REST/SOAP APIs within ServiceNow. Experience with integrations (Workday, APIs, ETL, etc.). Ability to work with cross-functional teams (procurement, compliance, IT). Nice-to-Have SkillsServiceNow CSA and SAM certifications.
