Oncology - Medical Oncology Physician

ATC West Healthcare Services is seekinga Medical Oncologist to provide outpatient-focused oncology and hematology care.This role is primarily centered on lung cancer management, with a secondary focus on general and benign hematology, within a multidisciplinary cancer program. The physician will work alongside a robust team of oncologists and APPs, with shared call responsibilities. Dates / ScheduleStart Date:ASAPClinic Schedule:Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PMCall Coverage: Shared call pool (1:5)Weekday evenings: telephone callWeekends: rounding with APP supportCredentialing Timeframe:Approximately 90 daysJob Details & ResponsibilitiesProvide outpatient oncology and hematology care to adult and geriatric patientsPrimary clinical focus onlung cancer , with secondary responsibility for general/benign hematology patients not assigned to other subspecialistsParticipate in multidisciplinarytumor boardsSee approximately8 16 outpatient clinic patients per dayProvide call and rounding coverage with an average inpatient census of 22 patients across two hospitals, including 4 5 new patientsOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and imagingPrescribe treatments and coordinate chemotherapy administration (administered by oncology nursing staff)Practice setting details: Outpatient cancer centerLevel 2 trauma center affiliationEMR:EpicSupported by a team of 6 physicians and 10 APPs (inpatient and outpatient)Required Skills & QualificationsBoard Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Medical OncologyRequiredActive Michigan medical licenseHighly preferred (willing to consider providers needing to obtain MI license)BLS certificationRequiredAbility to performFNA and biopsy proceduresClean malpractice history and no background issues RequiredCurrent NPDB report (pulled within the last 30 days, or within 90 days) required for submissionExperience working in a multidisciplinary oncology environment preferred
