Position Type:Secretarial/Clerical/ClerkDate Posted:2/24/2026Location:Kirtland Central High SchoolPosition:Clerical - GeneralSupervisor:Department or School AdministratorWork Site: Assigned SchoolSummary:Perform secretarial, clerical and related duties requiring the application of District and department policies and procedures in a timely and accurate manner.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Articulate and implement District and department missions and goals.Comply with District rules, procedures, administrative directives and state statutes i.e. confidentiality of personnel and student information.Work cooperatively and maintain professional relationships with colleagues.Perform responsibilities in the communication procedures involving telephone, e-mail, facsimile, written messages, composing written correspondence and copying.Perform assigned duties in a positive, productive manner.Successfully complete assigned duties without direct supervision.Perform office tasks including, but not limited to, typing, filing, copying, collating materials, proofreading, and opening/date stamping mail.Maintain files, lists, schedules, calendars, and other data.Greet visitors in a courteous manner, determining and assisting with their needs.Complete tasks relating to in and out of District correspondence for the immediate supervisor.Prepare purchase orders when assigned, with no purchases made prior to the purchase order approval.Complete job assignments accurately within the timeframe allowed.Assist with other departments when time allows.Complete and comply with all required trainings annuallyComply with all Board of Education policies, administrative regulations, Public Education Department guidelines and local, state and federal laws.Adhere to NM Code of Ethical Responsibility of the Education Profession (NMAC 6.60.9.8)Support district and school efforts to keep CCSD safe and securePerform other job responsibilities as assignedOther duties as assigned, reasonably related to the scope of the positionMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED certificateThree years clerical experience preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of Din language, culture and history preferredFluency in English usage including grammar, spelling, speaking, and writingAdvanced computer skills (word processing, database, spreadsheet applications, and various software-based programs)Effective communication skillsPhysical/Job Requirements:Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying (up to 50 pounds), climbing, bending, reaching, kneeling, driving a vehicle, traveling long distances, writing, typing, word processing, reading, researching information, effective communication skills and the use of cleaning solutionsSafety and Health:Knowledge of universal hygiene precautionsPass drug test if required for positionCompleted and cleared background checkKnowledge and compliance with district and school safety plansEquipment/Material Handled:Motor vehicle, if necessary-valid driver's licenseMust know how to properly operate multimedia equipment, including current technologyEquipment/Materials relevant to job responsibilitiesWork Environment:Various degrees of noise, temperature and air qualityWork interruptionsFlexibilitySelf-motivatedCompletion of job assignments without direct supervisionCompletion of applications and assignments within the timeframes allowedExtended work hours may include weekends and evenings as requiredTerm of Employment:Non-Exempt
