We handle everything from interior design and FF&E procurement to construction management and trade coordination.As we continue to grow, we are looking for a uniquely skilled Design Project Manager who can bridge the world of design and construction management with equal confidence and expertise.THE OPPORTUNITYThis is not a standard design role, and it is not a standard project management role. It is both. You will own projects from concept through final installation — developing design, leading client relationships, managing trades and schedules, and ensuring every detail is executed to the highest standard. The right person:Reads a room quickly — you pick up on what a client needs, what a project requires, and what the team is working through, often before anyone says a wordThinks ahead and acts on it — you notice what needs to happen next and take care of it without being askedCommunicates clearly and professionally — your emails, meeting notes, and conversations with clients and trades positively reflect our studioKeeps things moving — you manage your time well, juggle competing priorities without drama, and follow through on what you say you will doHas sharp attention to detail — you catch things others miss and you care about getting it right, whether it is a spec sheet, a material selection, or a site visitBrings good energy — you are collaborative, easy to be around, and the kind of person who makes the team betterTakes ownership — when something is yours, you see it through; when something goes sideways, you solve itIs calm under pressure — quick to problem-solve and steady when things don’t go as plannedWHAT YOU WILL DODesignLead projects from concept development through final installation, maintaining design intent at every stageWork with design team to develop space plans, design concepts, material palettes, FF&E selections, and construction documentsPrepare client presentations — budget sheets, interior schedules, renderings, and material boardsConduct site visits to review progress, coordinate with trades, and ensure execution meets the designConstruction & Site ManagementManage and oversee construction schedules from start to finish, with a strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordinationConduct regular on-site visits to direct subcontractors, monitor progress, and ensure work meets quality standards and design intentIdentify and troubleshoot on-site problems and make decisions that keep projects moving forwardClient & Project CoordinationServe as the primary point of contact for clients — managing expectations, communicating updates, and building trust throughout the projectMaintain and oversee project calendars, ensuring all milestones, meetings, and deadlines are tracked and communicatedManage FF&E procurement including pricing, purchase orders, order tracking, and delivery logisticsMaintain accurate project documentation including specs, schedules, and correspondenceContribute to a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvementEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSRequired7+ years of experience in interior design with a strong residential portfolio demonstrating range in style and project scopeDemonstrated knowledge of residential construction — sequencing, trade coordination, and on-site management (commercial construction experience does not apply)Project management experience — you have run a project from kickoff to installationSolid knowledge of construction sequencing and how design decisions affect the buildDeep familiarity with interior furnishings, vendors, and the procurement processProficiency in Revit or AutoCADStrong technical skills including space planning, code compliance, and construction detailingExcellent written and verbal communication skills and professional email etiquetteProficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Apple iWorkPreferredCollege degree in interior design, construction management, or a closely related fieldExperience with Studio Designer or similar design management softwareSketchUp proficiency or hand-sketching abilityBackground in luxury residential or high-end boutique design/build environmentsWHAT WE OFFEROn-site full-time schedule: Monday–Thursday 8am–5:00pm, Friday 8am–12pmSalary based on experienceMedical benefitsCompetitive PTO, paid holidays, and sick time401k matching after 1-year anniversaryA studio with an ocean viewA team that takes their work seriously and has a good time doing itReal opportunity to grow with a studio that is expandingHOW TO APPLYPlease submit the following to be considered:Cover letter — tell us about your background and include the names of two interior designers whose work you admire and whyResumePortfolio or work samples that represent your best residential workWe look forward to hearing from you.
