Job DescriptionI have a unique opportunity with a client in Cerritos, CA. This firm serves as general counsel for a variety of clients and handles employment and business litigation throughout California. If you have an employment litigation background and are looking to join a laid-back and collaborative team that isn't 100% litigation, this may be for you! The role is 50% General Counsel compliance, 25% civil litigation and 25% handling buying and selling of companies. There is no hard billable hour requirement, but the target is 1600-1700 per year.The ideal candidate-4+ Years of Civil Litigation Experience (single plaintiff employment, class action defense, PAGA, contract disputes)Admission in California- in good standingAbility to develop strategy and lead assigned caseloadsDetail oriented, hard-working, punctual and a self-starterWhat you will be handling-Ability to consult businesses to prevent, navigate, and resolve complex legal issuesResearching and resolving legal disputes, ensuring they are understood by clientsDrafting, reviewing, completing, and filing legal paperworkConducting depositions and court room appearancesNegotiating contract terms, transactions, and settlements, including M&ABenefits-Role starts as on-site, then transitions to hybridHealth, Dental, 401K, PTOCompetitive compensationIf you have an interest or want to learn more, please reach out to Brianna Schlick at 605-705-3958.
