Operations Assistant - Manufacturing & DistributionLocation: Duluth, GAPosition Type: Full-TimeSalary Range: $62,000 – $68,000, based on experiencePosition SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and hands-on Operations Assistant – Manufacturing & Distribution to support senior leadership within a fast-paced production and supply chain environment. This role is designed for an individual looking to build a long-term career in operations leadership.The selected candidate will gain exposure to key areas of the business, including manufacturing processes, warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management. Working closely with executive leadership, you will play a critical role in both day-to-day execution and longer-term operational improvements, with a clear pathway into a leadership position.Key Responsibilities:Operational SupportAssist in coordinating daily activities across manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution functionsHelp oversee operations across multiple facilities to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and on-time deliverySupport inventory control, materials planning, and product flow processesTrack and report on key operational metrics such as order fulfillment, productivity, and inventory accuracyIdentify process inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvementsCross-Functional CoordinationCollaborate with warehouse teams, production staff, purchasing, and customer-facing teamsHelp align operational output with customer demand and project timelinesSupport vendor communication and supply chain coordination effortsLeadership DevelopmentPartner closely with senior operations leadership to understand business strategy and executionTake ownership of projects and operational initiatives overtimeProvide support in managing workflows and team coordination when neededLearn and uphold safety standards, compliance requirements, and internal proceduresProcess Improvement & SystemsAssist in refining standard operating procedures and operational workflowsSupport system enhancements related to ERP, inventory, or warehouse managementtoolsContribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, cost control, and qualityQualifications:ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or warehouse operationsAt least 1–3 years in a lead, supervisory, or operations support roleExperience working across multiple facilities or locations isa plusBackground in manufacturing or construction-related industries preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of:Inventory management and trackingSupply chain logisticsWarehouse operations and coordinationProduction planning concepts (preferred)Proven ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with teamsStrong analytical and problem-solvingskillsHighly organized with attention todetailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication and interpersonalskillsExperience working with Excel and/or ERP/WMSsystemsEducationBachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferredEquivalent professional experience will be considered
