This role provides enterprise-level financial leadership by aligning operating and capital resources with institutional priorities, delivering long-range forecasting and scenario modeling, and advising senior leaders on risk, efficiency, and data-informed decision-making-including the responsible use of AI. The position manages budget development, monitoring, compliance, and variance analysis; evaluates business cases and new initiatives; develops KPIs to strengthen accountability and transparency; and serves as a trusted advisor to campus and central partners. The successful candidate will lead and develop accounting and administrative staff, promote best practices in financial stewardship and internal controls, and support continuity of operations as an essential personnel role during institutional disruptions.Minimum and Additional RequirementsKnowledge/Skills/Abilities• Mastery of principles, practices, theories, and terminology of accounting, auditing, banking, budgeting, and financial management, knowledge of office practices, and procedures. • Ability to proficiently apply mathematical concepts, analyze and interpret related data. • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written documents. • Strong computer accounting and database skills, including EXCEL , ACCESS , Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Visio.Preferred QualificationsPreferred Qualifications• Significant progressive experience in financial management, budgeting, or resource planning within a complex organization.• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, financial analysis, and resource allocation.• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.• Master's degree in business administration, public administration, finance, or a related field.• Experience in higher education, public sector, or similarly complex institutional environments.• Experience with enterprise financial systems and data analytics tools.• Proven ability to lead teams and partner effectively with senior leaders.Additional CommentsJob Close Date05/17/2026Special Instructions to ApplicantPositions are advertised for a minimum of five (5) business days on our job website.
