Data Engineer

Job type: Data EngineerLocation: On-site 4 days a week in Birmingham, ALYears of experience: 3+Must haves: The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise across batch and real-time data processing, data modeling, cloud engineering, and modern DevOps practices.Day-to-day responsibilities:Design, develop, test, deploy, and support data engineering and analytics solutions.Build and optimize batch and real-time data processing frameworks.Develop data models, integrate diverse source systems, and manage schemas.Implement high-quality ETL/ELT pipelines using MSBI (SSIS/SSAS), Informatica, SQL Server, Oracle GoldenGate, and related tools.Develop cloud-based solutions using Azure Data Lake, ADF, Databricks, Synapse, Power BI, and Azure Key Vault.Build solutions using Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hadoop, Hive, Spark).Support AI/ML model development using Python or R.Implement data sourcing and delivery via APIs and Web Services.Utilize Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, OpenShift).Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and documentation.Must have skills:Batch and real-time data processing frameworksData modeling, schemas, storage, and access techniquesData quality tools and methodologiesFunctional and technical solution design experienceBig data technologies: Hadoop, Hive, SparkAI/ML development: Python or R5+ years on?premises experience: MSBI (SSIS/SSAS), Informatica, Oracle GoldenGate, SQL Server, Oracle3+ years cloud experience: Azure Data Lake, ADF, Databricks, Synapse, Key Vault, Power BI, PythonAPI and Web Service developmentContainerization (Docker, OpenShift)Agile and DevOps/CI?CD practicesSoft skills:Strong communication and ability to collaborate with technical and business teamsProblem-solving mindset and ability to work on complex technical systemsStrong documentation and requirements interpretation skillsAbility to work independently with minimal oversightDiverse Lynx LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
