Ensuring patient comfort and taking medical histories. Monitoring patients during the scan. Setting up and operating CT scanners. Maneuvering equipment and adjusting technical parameters for optimal image quality. Administering contrast dye intravenously or orally to highlight specific body areas for better visualization. Following strict radiation safety protocols, including using shielding devices to protect patients and themselves. Collaborating closely with radiologists to confirm images are satisfactory.
