Creative Financial Staffing is partnered with a nonprofit organization seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team.About The OrganizationFounded over 125 years ago, they are staying current in technology but staying true to their mission of connecting people with natureTheir goal is to organize human travel and contribute to natural conservationOverseeing 4 employees, the Assistant Controller reports to the Controller and works closely with the CFOResponsibilities of the Assistant Controller:Oversee the month-end close process including reconciliations and journal entries Assist with month-, quarter-, and year-end financial statementsTrack investments, endowment, and grant revenue recognitionManage post-award grants managementPartner with IT for any process improvement or integrationsManage 4 employees including reviewing work, providing feedback, and providing coachingSupport the annual auditBackground Expected Of The Assistant ControllerBachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or experience equivalent (+4 years)5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory roleExperience in nonprofit accounting and grants management requiredCPA certification is a plus but not requiredSalary Range, Depending On Experience$85,000 - 110,000
