This approach mitigates risks in delivery, installation and operations across the lifecycle, reducing mooring lifecycle costs and safeguarding major operations that protect start-up schedules when mooring and mooring intervention are on the project or production critical path.InterMoor is looking to add a Senior Mooring Engineer to the team. The Senior Mooring Engineers are responsible for performing in-office and offshore engineering activities to meet project and regulatory requirements. The role supports the design, installation, and execution of safe, reliable, and effective offshore mooring systems. The Senior Mooring Engineers are expected to work closely and collaboratively with clients, project managers, other engineers, offshore operations personnel, and vessel crews to provide technical expertise, engineering calculations, and execution support to achieve project objectives. This position is based in Houston, TX, and participates in engineering activities initiated from Intermoor's primary office locations: Houston, TX, Morgan City, LA, and Fourchon, LA, and will require domestic and international travel and offshore work.DutiesEngineering DesignExecute detailed mooring design and engineering analyses to meet project and regulatory requirementsPerform related in-office and offshore engineering tasksDevelop and review engineering deliverables and project documentationPerform rigging calculations and prepare equipment listsDevelop and review installation concepts, procedures, and engineering deliverables with consideration of technical, commercial, and QHSE factorsOffshore Execution/SupportSupport offshore personnel during execution activitiesProvide offshore supervision and prepare execution and as‑built reportingDefine installation vessel requirements and evaluate candidate vesselsLeadership & InterfacesProvide oversight, direction, and mentoring to less experienced engineersInterface with clients, vessel owners, and offshore teamsSupport offshore execution, including installation, recovery, and disconnect operationsCommercial & QHSE SupportSupport QHSE assurance practicesSupport proposal development and technical sales efforts, including methodologies, presentations, and bid-phase technical inputRequiredBachelor or Master degrees in Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent5-10+ years of relevant experience in offshore or marine engineeringStrong understanding of offshore and marine operations, including mooring system design and installation practicesStrong technical, written, and verbal communication skillsProven ability to plan, organize, and manage work effectively in a project environmentExperience working within multidisciplinary engineering and offshore operations teamsWorking knowledge of QHSE standards and offshore execution requirementsAbility to contribute technical input to proposal development and bid activitiesMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident)Ability to perform office‑based and offshore duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling equipment as required during offshore activities
