Workday Platform Administrator

This position focuses on keeping the system reliable, secure, and easy for departments to use. The administrator checks system health, manages updates and integrations, oversees feature releases, supports users, and works with teams across the organization. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. This is an onsite position, no remote option.Essential DutiesPerforms regular system checks to make sure Workday is working properly, viewing logs and issues to keep the system reliable and compliantSets up and maintains security features, including user access, login tools, and audit records to protect dataBuilds and updates Workday processes and workflows to help automate tasks and improve efficiencyManages Workday feature updates, including testing changes, working with staff, and preparing for system releasesMaintains system setup, including security rules, business processes, and other configuration items, while keeping documentation updatedProvides advanced technical support for problems that cannot be solved by others, including fixing integration or data issuesWorks with HR, Finance, Student, and IT teams to understand needs and translate them into practical Workday solutions along with providing training as neededCoordinates with IT teams on updates, identity management, and any network needs related to WorkdayWrites and updates system documents, procedures, diagrams, and recovery plansWorks with Workday and outside vendors for support cases, patches, and system improvementsSuggests new features or improvements to make the system faster, safer, and easier to useTracks and reports system performance, usage, and issue trends to IT leadershipPerforms other related duties as assignedRate of Pay $75,147.00 annualized *Higher compensation may be considered based on qualifications directly related to position.Minimum QualificationsThe formal education equivalent of an associate degree in computer science, mathematics, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)At least four years of experience working with Workday or a similar systemAt least two years of experience in a lead functional or technical positionKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesBasic understanding of Workday administration, security setup, and system featuresAbility to review issues, analyze problems, and solve technical challengesSkill in building and improving workflows and system processesExperience with ServiceNow, basic scripting, and data-related tasksAbility to organize tasks, lead others, and work well with multiple departmentsStrong communication skills for explaining technical information in simple terms and writing clear documentationAbility to stay current with Workday updates and best practicesPhysical Demands/Work EnvironmentThe following physical activities described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
