Ambulatory Hospitality Services Specialist
We are looking for a warm and dedicated Ambulatory Hospitality Services Specialist to join a healthcare team in the Midwest region. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to sanitation will directly contribute to the quality of care provided. ResponsibilitiesClean and sanitize patient rooms, including bed making, linen replacement, and supply restocking. Perform thorough cleaning tasks such as disinfecting patient areas, washing windows, scrubbing floors, moving furniture, and changing mattresses as needed. Maintain cleanliness in common areas like waiting rooms, lobbies, and hallways. Care for hospital floors including carpets and entryways, operating and maintaining floor cleaning equipment such as vacuums and carpet cleaners. Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure a safe environment. Replenish supplies in patient and common areas promptly. Respond quickly to urgent cleaning requests from staff and patients. Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel. Adhere strictly to infection control policies to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria. Handle hazardous waste, including sharps and biohazardous materials, following proper disposal procedures. Demonstrate safety precautions related to infections, electrical, steam, chemical hazards, dust, and disinfectant solutions. Collect and dispose of soiled linens hygienically. EducationHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required. Experience and RequirementsPrevious housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift loads up to 25 pounds. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Effective time management with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
