This role is responsible for leading field crews in the safe, efficient execution of tree care services including pruning, removals, and rigging operations. Crew Leaders play a critical role in jobsite safety, production flow, and team development.This position offers advancement opportunities into senior leadership roles within operations, training, and arbor management.What You'll DoLead and direct a crew of 2-6 team members on tree care jobsitesPerform and supervise tree pruning, removals, and rigging operationsConduct daily safety briefings and ensure hazards are identified and controlledSet up and maintain safe, organized work zonesCommunicate clearly with crew members, management, and clientsEnsure all work is completed to company standards and ANSI safety guidelinesOperate chainsaws, chippers, aerial equipment, and trucks safelyTrain and mentor climbers and groundsmen on proper techniques and safetyMaintain equipment and ensure proper inspections are completedSupport jobsite documentation, work order execution, and communicationCrew Leader 1 (CL-1)Leads a single crew on daily tree care operationsPerforms advanced climbing, pruning, and riggingManages jobsite safety, production, and crew coordinationMentors developing climbers and groundsmenServes as the primary point of contact on siteCrew Leader 2 (CL-2) - Senior Field LeaderLeads complex jobs and may oversee multiple crews or projectsPerforms advanced removals, crane work, and technical riggingCoaches and develops team members across all skill levelsSupports onboarding, training, and performance developmentCommunicates regularly with operations leadership and supports planningWhat We're Looking ForProven experience in professional tree care and crew leadershipStrong climbing, rigging, and pruning skillsAbility to lead a team and make safe, efficient decisions in the fieldStrong communication and problem-solving skillsCommitment to safety, quality, and professionalismAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsPreferred (Not Required)ISA Certified Arborist or Tree WorkerCPR / First Aid CertificationCDL or ability to obtainExperience with crane removals and advanced riggingBilingual (English/Spanish)What We OfferCompetitive pay based on experience and leadership levelFull-time, year-round workClear advancement path into senior leadership rolesOngoing training, certifications, and skill developmentStrong safety culture and team environmentOpportunity to help build and grow a leading Arbor Division
