The Senior Design/BIM Coordinator plays a key role in project coordination, cross-functional communication, and mentoring BIM staff. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong technical expertise in BIM modeling, leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset that supports NGi’s project teams and company goals.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and manage Revit project setups, including templates, families, parameters, and workflow documentationDevelop and manage BIM models for wall system projects, including Metal Wall Framing (MWF) templates and viewpointsUtilize Navisworks to set up and run clash detection, navigate models, and identify coordination issuesUse Bluebeam to review construction documents and support project coordinationSupport and assist BIM Coordinators and Draftsmen with model modifications and troubleshootingRepresent NGi at BIM coordination meetings with project teams and external partnersMaintain and update monthly project schedule lists for the management teamUpdate staff meeting worksheets prior to bi-weekly department meetingsReview and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering design documents for each projectCollaborate with Project Engineers (PEs) and Project Managers (PMs) to identify and resolve design and coordination issuesResolve escalated or complex modeling challenges requiring advanced BIM expertiseWork as part of a BIM/CAD support team to ensure consistent modeling standards and workflowsProvide mentorship, coaching, and over-the-shoulder training to BIM staffSupport training initiatives and professional development within the BIM departmentPerform additional duties as assignedBecause the needs of the company are constantly evolving, the above responsibilities are not exhaustive and may be revised to meet changing priorities.Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Design or a related field preferred, orEight (8) years of equivalent BIM, CAD, or construction modeling experienceTechnical Skills & SoftwareMinimum eight (8) years of exposure to the following software is preferred:Revit Architecture – including families, templates, and parametersNavisworks Manage – clash detection and model coordinationAutoCAD / AutoCAD ArchitectureBluebeamMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Qualifications & AttributesAdvanced understanding of structural and framing concepts related to NGi’s wall systemsExperience supporting multiple BIM/CAD roles within a departmentKnowledge of construction processes and proceduresStrong project and time management abilitiesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentExceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsStrong critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesPositive attitude with a passion for supporting, mentoring, and developing team membersAbility to uphold company standards and escalate issues appropriatelyProfessional judgment aligned with NGi infrastructure and modeling standardsLeadership & Supervisory ResponsibilitiesSuccessful Individuals Will Support Department Performance ByCommunicating job expectations and team standardsPlanning, monitoring, and evaluating work performanceCoaching and motivating team membersResolving project or team conflicts when necessaryProviding hands-on training and mentorship to BIM staffEqual Opportunity EmployerNGi is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or any other legally protected status.NGi uses automated and AI-assisted tools to support hiring and promotion decisions.
