Speech Language Pathologist Location: Elmira, NY Agency: Medical Edge Recruitment Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Speech Language Pathologist - SLP Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in providing exceptional speech therapy services. This role involves evaluating patient needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing communication health across diverse patient populations and settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing facilities. Pay Package: $71 per hour Shift: 8am - 4:30pm Required Skills Valid NYS license or eligibility to obtain licensure in speech and language pathology Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in speech therapy Strong knowledge of speech therapy principles, techniques, and procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to evaluate patient needs and develop appropriate, measurable treatment plans Proficiency in documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and reports Knowledge of equipment maintenance and supply management Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education Up-to-date AHA BLS certification Nice to Have Skills Experience with diverse patient age groups from neonates to geriatrics Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration in healthcare settings Experience in developing or standardizing speech therapy programs or products Preferred Education and Experience Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Licensed or eligible for licensure in NYS At least two years of relevant clinical experience in a healthcare environment Other Requirements Ability to provide age-appropriate care across a broad patient demographic Willingness to participate in departmental and hospital committees Commitment to quality improvement initiatives and organizational policies Adaptability to an active healthcare environment and team-oriented culture Why Choose Medical Edge?
