PLM Engineer

We are looking for a PLM Engineer to join our growing team.This position is located on-site in Sedro Woolley, Washington State. Position DescriptionThe PLM Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems that enable efficient collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise systems. This role serves as a technical and functional liaison between engineering, IT, and production to ensure accurate and timely data flow throughout the product lifecycle—from concept and design through production and sustainment.Administer and maintain the PLM system (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, SAP ECTR, or similar), ensuring system performance, data integrity, and securityConfigure workflows, item types, release processes, and data integrations based on evolving business needsSupport versioning, access control, and change management processesWork closely with IT and ERP teams to integrate PLM with downstream systems (e.g., SAP, MES, CAD systems, and document control platforms)Develop and maintain data mapping and transfer logic to ensure seamless flow of BOMs, part numbers, and revisions across platformsParticipate in the definition and rollout of digital thread initiatives to connect design and manufacturing dataPartner with engineering and production teams to standardize and document PLM processes across the enterpriseIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve user experience, and reduce data redundancyAssist in system upgrades, migrations, and functional testingProvide technical support and training for engineering and operations personnel using PLM systemsDevelop user guides, best practices, and system documentationAct as a subject matter expert for PLM process questions and change management initiativesWork with cross-functional teams (Engineering, IT, Program Management, Manufacturing, and Quality) to align PLM standards with corporate data governance policiesParticipate in Change Control Board (CCB) or similar forums to evaluate and implement system/process improvementsPerforms other duties as assigned Behavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the jobQualificationsDue to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).MUST BE U.S CITIZEN OR LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENT FOR THIS POSITION.Education/ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required 3-7 years of experience supporting PLM systems in a manufacturing or aerospace environmentHands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter, SAP ECTR, or comparable PLM toolsUnderstanding of CAD data management (NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.) and product structures/BOMsStrong analytical skills with an ability to diagnose and resolve complex system and data issuesFamiliarity with scripting, SQL, or API-based integrations a plusAdditional InformationSalary range for this role is between $83,000 - $135,00, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role.
