Job DescriptionCDL Class A Driver Dynamic, highly reputable auto transport company has an opportunity for you to contribute to the strategic development of this organization. Our reputation is built on quality, personalized service, and attention to detail.Reporting to the owner, the CDL Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading goods, ensuring safety and compliance with traffic regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized truck. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a valid CDL A license, and a commitment to safety and customer service.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesSafely operate heavy truck commercial vehicles.Transport autos over local or long-distance routes according to schedules.Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are properly secured and transported safely.Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance, and report any maintenance needs promptly.Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations, including weight limits and vehicle inspections.Maintain accurate records documenting and logging work/rest periods and miles.Perform thorough vehicle inspections on each loadAbility to use various mobile phone applications correctly.Communicate with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules and routes.Provide excellent customer service, assisting with loading/unloading and addressing customer inquiries professionally.Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.Strict adherence to FMCSA Hours of ServiceAbility to correctly operate & update Motive ELDAbility to operate and maintain commercial vehicles safely.Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.).Strong interpersonal communication, customer service skills, and experience working with dispatch.Physical stamina to load and unload vehicles and work long hours.Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.Willingness to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.Exhibit strong time management skills. Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.Mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle repairs.2010 or newer truck and trailer.Soft tie equipment preferred.Be able to produce and pass a DOT truck and trailer inspection upon request.Failed truck and/or trailer inspection failure results in being put out of service until repairs are made.Our company is an equal opportunity employer with a drug-free workplace.
