This position requires hands-on experience in electrical wiring and repair, welding, carpentry, and preventative maintenance with a strong focus on industrial warehouse equipment including forklifts, dock doors, and dock levelers.The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and capable of troubleshooting facility and equipment issues with minimal supervision.Responsibilities and DutiesEnsure that all forklift equipment is operating properly and safelyOperates all material handling equipment requiredEnsure maintenance tasks throughout the facilities are being completed according to scheduleResponsible for the inspection and repair of doors, dock plates, racking and additional equipmentResponsible for inspecting building and grounds and performing general building maintenance including dock levelers, racking, and lightingMaintains forklift and building maintenance operational history by initiating and updating recordsPerform building and equipment auditsCoordinate and track preventative maintenanceInitiate and schedule repairsPerform repairs on equipmentMaintains safe work environmentMonitor and maintain battery maintenanceUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunitiesQualifications and SkillsProven experience with various types of material handling equipment including forklifts, order pickers, clamp trucks is a plusBuilding maintenance experience including lighting, dock doors, dock levelersExcellent organizational and leadership skillsExcellent written and verbal communications skillsMust have a strong attendance recordKnowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointForklift certified or able to obtain certificationMust be able to lift 55 lbs.Technical courses and training a plusBenefitsPerformance reviews at 90 days, 6 month and 1 yearMedical, Dental and VisionProfit Sharing/401kPaid vacations, sick time and holidaysSteel toe shoe reimbursement
