Storage Engineer - TS/SCI

Overview As a Storage Engineer, you will optimize and scale the enterprise storage estate to meet performance, availability, and capacity goals. You will work within an Agile environment to design, implement, and sustain storage solutions across on-premise and cloud platforms for mission-critical applications. You will analyze risks, plan lifecycles, and develop documentation to support reliable operations. ResponsibilitiesDesign and engineer scalable storage architectures for on-premise and cloud environments with high availability and performance.Develop reference designs and roadmaps aligned to mission requirements and capacity plans.Evaluate storage modernization initiatives, including trade studies and technology evaluations.Create lifecycle replacement strategies and engineering artifacts (diagrams, designs, data flows).Apply systems engineering to storage integration, performance optimization, and resilience.Analyze system dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies to improve reliability.Optimize storage for multi-petabyte environments and drive capacity forecasting and DR planning.Build dashboards for storage health and lifecycle planning; configure SLA-based backups and replication. Key requirementsBachelor degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master with 6+ yearsExperience administering enterprise storage systems (Dell Storage Center, Dell Compellent, Data Domain preferred)SAN and NAS administration (LUN provisioning, Fibre Channel zoning, NFS/SMB file sharing)VMware ESX integration, data migration, snapshots, and replicationActive Directory file permissions management; storage monitoring and performance tuningCloud storage management; Rubrik experience; scripting with PowerShellUnix/Linux proficiency; DFS knowledgeExcellent communication; ability to work independently; 24/7/365 support experienceDoD 8140/8570.11-IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE etc.) or Level III acceptableUS Citizenship; TS/SCI with CI Poly required or willingness to obtain Polyclear communicationindependent work ethiccollaboration with cross-functional teamsDell EMC storage technologiesQuantum storage productsRubrik data protection
