PROJECT COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Project Coordinator’s main function is to provide overall administrative and construction support for multiple projects. Project Coordinators work closely with each Project Manager and assist by providing documentation and administrative support to the Project Managers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Takes Lead with:
Preparation of Subcontractor and Vendor Agreements.
Managing of Project administrative functions including updating data in project systems (submittal, RFQ, change order, etc.)
Support in tracking RFIs
Change Order Processing
Project Meeting set up and documentation, including minutes.
Assist in Budget Monitoring
Project Closeout
Managing the Submittal process, including creation of the submittal schedule and submittal log. Corresponds and coordinates between subcontractors, Project Managers, vendors, and architects.
Prepares and takes lead in the Project Closeout documentation process.
Drafts and edits written materials such as reports and correspondence.
Assists in inquiries from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and forwards any complaints to the appropriate parties, including management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a working knowledge of construction processes.
Three (3) years related experience in commercial and/or institutional construction projects.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specification documents.
Very strong written and oral communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering or Construction.
Three (3) years related experience in commercial and/or institutional general construction projects.
