The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in depot-level radio repair, troubleshooting, upgrades, and programming. This role requires a strong understanding of telecommunications systems, mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades on two-way radios and related communication equipment.Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using industry-standard procedures.Program radios according to customer specifications and operational requirements.Clean and refurbish equipment to meet quality standards.Document repair activities, including serial numbers, model numbers, and feature sets.Maintain accurate records of service and repair logs.Utilize test equipment such as Digital Volt Meters (DVM), Service Monitors, and Watt Meters.Follow established procedures and safety protocols during all repair and testing activities.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.Qualifications47 years of experience in radio repair or a related technical field.Strong knowledge of radio systems is highly desirable.Familiarity with telecommunications test equipment and diagnostic tools.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Mechanically inclined with the ability to disassemble and reassemble electronic devices.Solid computer skills and ability to navigate software interfaces.Excellent attention to detail and documentation practices.Ability to work independently and follow technical procedures accurately.Preferred SkillsFCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) or equivalent certification.Experience with RF systems and signal testing.Prior work in a radio depot or service center environment.
