Electrical Test Support Engineer Position Details :Locatio n: San Francisco, CA 94107 (Hybrid/2-3 days onsite )Type : Full Tim e140-180K Base Salar yAbout the Ro leAs an Electrical Test Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and long-term operation of our core hardware platform. In this role you will design and implement test fixtures, conduct component-level failure analysis on returned hardware, generate detailed FA documentation, and analyze RMA trends to drive measurable improvements in field reliability. You will report into Senior Manager, Hardware Engineering and work closely with Key Stakeholders) We're looking for someone who brings 5+ years of hands-on experience in hardware testing, manufacturing test engineering, or failure analysis — someone who can systematically isolate root causes using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and protocol analyzers, is comfortable in Linux environments with shell scripting for automated diagnostics, and communicates findings clearly through structured reports to cross-functional teams and vendors. As part of a rapidly evolving team, we look forward to your impact expanding over t ime.Test development: Design and implement automated or manual test fixtures to support hardware validation and sustaining activit ies.Failure analysis: Probe, test, and debug returned hardware to identify root causes of failures. Conduct component-level troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and protocol analyz ers.Reporting: Generate comprehensive first-level analysis reports and detailed FA documentation to be shared with cross-functional teams and vend ors.Process improvement: Analyze RMA data trends to recommend design or firmware changes that reduce field failure ra tes.Required Qualifica tionsThe qualifications below outline the experience and skills most relevant to success in this role.
