Magic EdTech is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Freelance Proofreader to join our team. In this part-time, remote role, you will be responsible for reviewing educational materials, digital content, and instructional assets to ensure impeccable grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, a strong background in copyediting or proofreading (preferably within Higher Ed publishing), and the ability to maintain consistency across various digital platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesError Detection: Proofread educational content, interactive digital modules, and documents to correct errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax.Consistency Checks: Ensure adherence to specific style guides and internal brand guidelines.Quality Assurance: Verify that hyperlinks, cross-references, layout formatting, and multimedia assets match the source text and function correctly.Collaboration: Work closely with content creators, instructional designers, and project managers to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.Feedback: Provide clear, constructive feedback or markups using digital editing tools.
