Clinical Supervisor (School Behav Hlth)
Job Summary: The incumbent of this position serves as the Clinical Supervisor within the School Behavioral Health Program, Child, Adolescent and Family Services Division. The incumbent will oversee the daily operations of the Unit and supervise a team of School Behavioral Health Clinicians who provide a wide variety of comprehensive behavioral health services for children in grades pre-K3 through 12th. Cases may involve a wide range of psychosocial and environmental problems. Services provided may include referrals to public and private agencies. The incumbent will oversees coordination of all program and staff activities and resolves major problems encountered in the implementation of behavioral health activities. Provides clinical direction, guidance, and consultation on problems and cases to include interpretation of guidelines. Works collaboratively with other mental health professionals in the school and other school staff while adhering to all laws, policies, and regulations regarding confidentiality. Provides consultative services and technical assistance to teachers particularly as it relates to interventions designed to provide support in the classroom. May conduct educational presentations on mental health issues for students, their families, and school staff.Collective Bargaining Agreement: This position IS NOT represented by a Collective Bargaining Unit.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT: As a basic requirement, all applicants must have successfully completed a four (4) year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a Master’s or higher degree which involved major study in an academic field related to health or allied sciences. This position requires one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.
