Locum Tenens Opportunity: General Medicine Physician Specialty: General Medicine Assignment: As Needed Basis Details: Default Rate Type: Daily Emergency/Temp Privileges: No Shift Type: Days Shift Description: PRN - as needed basis Weekend Requirements: Able to work weekends, if desired/needed On-Call Requirements: None Overview: We are seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams + Separation Health Assessments across the country. Assignment Details: Duration: PRN basis, ongoing Specialties Accepted: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or anyone with a background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension Coverage Options: Two options available - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practice Shift Options: Half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours) Exam Type: One-time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments Exam Format: Primarily interview-based with some physical assessment including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing Prescribing/Treatment: No prescribing or treatment involved Credentialing: Quick credentialing & onboarding process Certification: DMA certification available (can get CME credits) ??? will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified Equipment: Use of Goniometer required Expertise Required: Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio conditions. Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions. Technology: Own personal laptop (NO MACs) required for completing evaluations and submitting Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) Reporting: DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).
