Whether collaborating with more than 200 highly respected physicians nationwide or partnering with colleagues who are passionate about solving meaningful problems, you’ll be surrounded by a team committed to shared success.In this role, the Andrologist will:Undertake andrology laboratory procedures as directedHave attention to detail with an awareness and understanding of the sensitive and confidential nature of ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) treatmentComply with HIPAA privacy regulationsComplete competency in latest technologies including, but not limited to: semen analysis, anti-sperm antibody testing, sperm preparation for IUI, sperm cryopreservation, vitality staining, semen processingDemonstrate advanced knowledge of reproductive biology including the male and female reproductive systemDemonstrate excellent clinical skills and be able to lead and work in a team environmentBe comfortable with the physical handling of semen including hazardous specimensManage aseptic techniquesBe competent in the correct assessment and grading of sperm count, motility and morphologyPerform clerical tasks diligently and follow established protocols and laboratory guidelinesPerform meticulous data entry into computer databases and software programsMaintain detailed and accurate patient logs and laboratory reportsCommunicate detailed information to patients, staff and regulatory bodiesAssist in data collection and management for clinical research projectsAssist in research projects, under the direction of the Laboratory Director, which are publishableProvide support for manuscript preparation and editingProvide support for CAP inspection preparedness and inspectionsHave clear, professional and timely communication with staff, physicians and patientsParticipate in Continuing Technical Improvement exercisesMaintain technical proficiency in routine laboratory proceduresAssist in the preparation of routine and ad hoc analyses of data relating to performance of the laboratory and individual technologists, and to specific research projectsDeliver patient/customer services seamlessly across system boundariesCommunicate clearly and listens carefully to ensure understandingAnalyze problems from the patient/family point of viewLearn the individual patient/customer need(s) and do the best possible job of satisfying those needs using the best possible solutions that are responsive to the need(s)Handle stressful patient/customer situations appropriatelyKeep the patient/customer informed of what is being done to help, especially for complicated problemsMake every attempt to meet patient/customer and family special needsModify interactions to accommodate the diverse needs of our patient/customers and familyEnsure patient/customer and family confidentiality, respect, safety and securityOther duties as assignedWhat You’ll BringWe’re looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience—individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.Qualifications and Skills Include:Bachelor’s degree in a biological science required1+ year of experience in a laboratory setting Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and patientsDemonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database and email applicationsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to work under pressure and within deadlinesExcellent communication skillsAbility to work as part of a teamGood research skillsAdvanced computer skillsFlexibility and willingness to learn at all timesExcellent multi-tasking abilitiesAbility to work some weekendsMore important than any single credential, however, is the right person.
