PASCO SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 11215 WEST LEWIS STPASCO, WASHINGTON 99301PHONE (509) 543-6700Open Date: Thursday March 12, 2026Application Deadline/Close Date: Open until filled.(Hiring will be based upon student enrollment and district need)POSITION: Bilingual Interpreter/Translator SubstituteLOCATION: Pasco High SchoolHOURS: Varies180-day calendarSALARY: $35.39 - $37.02$38.70-40.32- AA degree or higherSalary SchedulesNEW HIRES ARE CONDITIONAL UPON PASSING A FINGERPRINT SCREENINGESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Primary role in translating district correspondence and community communication materials.Provides simultaneous oral interpretations for district and/or school hearings, meetings, special events and activities.Works in collaboration with others.Participate in District meetings to communicate information and gain feedback and/or direction on a variety of issues.Distribute documents and materials to appropriate staff, students and/or parents.NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist other personnel as may be required to support them with the completion of their work activities.Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent, required.Interpreter Certification in Spanish language, required.Prior job-related experience preferred but not required.Bilingual and Biliterate (Spanish), required.Experience working in a K-12 setting preferred but not required.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Ability to work well under pressure.Ability to work flexible hours.Skilled in advanced language proficiency.Knowledge of the ethics of interpreting or translating.Letters and applications received after closing date will only be accepted and screened if the position remains unfilled
