Short-Term Night Newborn Care Specialist for First-Time Family (Los Angeles) A warm and loving family in Los Angeles, CA (90013) is seeking an exceptional Short-Term Newborn Care Specialist to provide dedicated night care for their 1-week-old infant, beginning Mid March 2026. This role is focused exclusively on the baby and supporting a calm, well-functioning postpartum environment. The caregiver will feel confident creating and maintaining a consistent sleep routine and supporting breastfeeding with care and confidence. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 2 nights per week, transitioning to 8-hour shifts, 3 nights per week · 24 hours per week total · 6-week assignment Must be fully vaccinated: TDAP, TB Test, COVID- First two vaccines, 1st COVID booster, 2nd COVID booster, Seasonal Flu Vaccine Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for a 1-week-old infant Provide night care support as needed Support healthy sleep rhythms and help establish gentle, age-appropriate sleep routines aligned with the family’s preferences Confidently support breastfeeding, tracking, and clear communication Diapering, bathing, soothing, and age-appropriate interaction. Offer guidance and education to first-time parents, supporting confidence and ease in early infant care Observe, track, and communicate developmental milestones, changes, and daily patterns Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is patient, caring, calm, and deeply attuned to both infant and family needs. They specialize in supporting first-time parents through education, guidance, and reassurance, helping create confidence during the early newborn stage. The candidate is a certified Newborn Care Specialist with a minimum of four years of professional newborn experience, including extensive hands-on care for infants ages 0–6 months. They bring a grounded, confident, and nurturing caregiving style and hold current Infant CPR and First Aid certification.
