Line Cook/Prep Cook
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality dishes to our guests. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard, adhering to the dietary department's guidelines and ensuring that all food is handled and presented in a professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and handling procedures.
- Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during peak periods.
- Assist with menu planning and contribute to the development of new dishes and specials.
- Participate in catering events and ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standard.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure that dishes meet the standards of our fine dining restaurant.
- Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the food industry, with a background in fine dining or catering.
- Strong culinary skills, with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes to a high standard.
- Familiarity with menu planning and the ability to contribute to the development of new dishes and specials.
- Excellent food handling and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with other kitchen staff and the culinary team.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
