Please note a Disability is not required. Salary - $17.75/Hour Job Description: The Janitor is responsible for maintaining and cleaning the flooring surfaces within the Commissary. This role involves performing a variety of tasks to ensure that floors are clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing. Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. The start time is 7:30PM. The candidate will work 4 to 6 hours per night depending on the size of area being stripped/waxed. Responsibilities: Sweep and scrub floors. Strip and Wax VCT and Terrazzo tile. Burnish as needed to maintain even shine. Must be able to operate various types of equipment associated with stripping and waxing, such as, Floor Scrubber, Side by Side Scrubber and Buffer. Must be familiar with SC Johnson chemicals such as Stripper, Premia and Vectra wax. Must be familiar with Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals involved. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Adhere to health and safety standards, including proper handling and disposal of cleaning chemicals. Requirements: Attention to detail a must. Needs to be dependable. Should have ability to stand for extended periods of time.
