Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat05:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun05:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with site post orders. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions. Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel. Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrol activity, and observations, and support law enforcement and/or site representatives during investigations or emergency situations as needed.Minimum Requirements: An armed guard card and/or license is required. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate. Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton are preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
