Mainframe Network Engineer

Job Title: Mainframe Network EngineerLocation: RemoteClient FocusWe are seeking highly skilled Mainframe Infrastructure Engineers to support enterprise-scale mainframe environments with expertise across storage, networking, and disaster recovery. The ideal candidates will bring strong knowledge of z/OS, z/VM, SAN switches, data replication, and scripting to ensure robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure operations.Key Must-Have Skills:Proven expertise with IBM mainframe hardware (z15/z16, HMC, DS8000, TS7700, TS4500, FlashSystems).Strong experience with Cisco/Brocade SAN switches, storage fabric, and tools such as SANNAV.Knowledge of firewalls, proxy policy management, and enterprise disaster recovery solutions.Proficiency in Unix/Linux (Bash/SSH) and scripting (Bash, Python, RESTful APIs).Familiarity with IBM z/OS (Mainframe), z/VM (zLinux), and mainframe IO GEN & FICON.Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, Jira, and CMDB for incident and change management.Job DescriptionDemonstrated experience with any of the following technologies:Mainframe hardware infrastructure (z15/z16/HMC/DS8000/TS7700/TS4500/FlashSystems).Cisco or Brocade SAN switches, storage fabric & management tools such as SANNAV.Firewalls & Proxy policy management.Enterprise disaster recovery, high availability, data replication technologies.Unix/Linux/Bash/SSH.IBM z/OS (Mainframe) and z/VM (zLinux).Mainframe IO GEN & FICON.ServiceNow incident, change management, CMDB, & Jira.Ability to script using Linux BASH, Python, RESTful APIs.
