Senior Python Developer

Citi Spread Products (SP) technology is seeking a highly motivated candidate for Python and Full Stack/Web development team that serves Financing and Securitization (F&S) business.We are looking for a talented professional with a solid technical acumen to support, design and deliver innovative technology solutions for the front office Citi Capital Markets.The candidate will be a core member of the technology team and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting application projects, delivering them on time and within budget. The candidate handles complex problems independently and demonstrates analytical thinking. The candidate should be able to make judgments and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data.Excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in and learn within the SP F&S Division and gain exposure to technology initiatives targeted at maintaining a lead position among its competitors.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and subsystems.Support Business Users on existing applicationsRobust design to implement Python solutions with hands-on coding skills in PythonResearch, design and develop a self-service reporting toolExperience in deployments to the higher environment by using CI/CD pipelines.Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippageWork on bug resolution and application improvements, such as performance and maintainabilityParticipate actively in discussions, presentations, and decisions about front-end & server-side development and application designParticipates in Sprint Planning, Tasking, and Estimation of the assigned workResponsible for the development of re-usable services, user interfaces, unit testing, and code reviewsMay occasionally work a non-standard shift, including nights and/or weekends, and/or have on-call responsibilities Work closely with our stakeholders in a highly collaborative environmentPromote and follow solid agile software development practicesBuild for highly reliable, scalable, and maintainable ApplicationsRequired Skills/Experiences:5+ years of relevant experience. Hands-on experience in coding in PythonExperience in python packaging and shared libraries like Pandas, NumPyExperience implementing rest APIs in Python using Microframework like FlaskExperience with template engine and Airflow/S3Experience with Python IDE Visual Studio Code/PyCharmExperience working with SOA & Micro-services utilizing REST, SOAP etc.Experience with design and implementations of cloud-ready applications and deployment pipelines on large-scale container platform clusters is a plusExperience working in a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environment and familiar with Jenkins, TeamCity, Code Quality Tools SonarQube, etc.Proficient in industry standard best practices such as Design Patterns, Coding Standards, Coding modularity, Prototypes etc. Experienced in RDBMS and SQL/PLSQL.Unit testing frameworks JUnit, Mockito, pytest. Experience with any BI tool/Reporting tool would be a plus.Experience with messaging service would be a plus. Experience in Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift would be a plusExperience with JIRA and Bitbucket. Understanding of the SDLC lifecycle for Agile & Waterfall methodologies.
