Senior CAD Designer

This is a temporary, full-time position (minimum of 6 months) with the opportunity for permanent placement based on performance and business needs. The Senior CAD Designer performs complex and non-routine design assignments utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) systems and collaborates closely with engineering and design teams to develop accurate, high-quality, and production-ready designs.Responsibilities:Perform complex and moderately advanced CAD design tasks using established design principles, specifications, and methodologiesDevelop and prepare detailed layouts, drawings, 2D and 3D models, and design variations based on engineering requirementsUtilize CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) to support design development and documentationApply scaling, mathematical calculations, and design rules to ensure accuracy, functionality, and manufacturabilityInterpret technical data and translate concepts into production-ready designs and documentationMaintain CAD files, revisions, and documentation in accordance with company standards and document control practicesEnsure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, codes, specifications, and GD&T principlesExecute non-routine assignments requiring independent judgment and problem-solving where procedures may not be definedMaintain coordination with engineering and cross-functional teamsEnsure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and company policiesPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum of 8 years of CAD design experienceDemonstrated ability to perform complex and non-routine design workAdvanced proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)Strong knowledge of design techniques, engineering standards, and GD&T principlesExperience with CAD file management, revision control, and documentation practicesStrong mathematical and analytical skills related to design and scalingAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication and collaboration skillsEducation:* Training in CAD operation, drafting, or a related field, or equivalent experienceAeroControlex is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
