Structural Welder

CTR Group is seeking a Structural Welder for a Shipyard / Repair Location in the Norfolk, VA area.Our company is a provider of technical services and solutions that supports businesses and organizations in their technology and engineering needs. We are currently seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team. SUMMARY: As a Structural Welder, you will be responsible for the welding and fabrication of critical structural components for various maritime and shipbuilding projects. In this role, you will also be required to perform some electrical work, utilizing your expertise as an Electrician.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately weld structural elementsOperate a variety of welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick weldersPerform electrical troubleshooting and repairs as neededEnsure all work meets industry standards and safety protocolsCollaborate with the engineering team to resolve technical challenges REQUIREMENTS:3+ years of experience as a Structural Welder in a shipyard or heavy manufacturing environmentProficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specificationsCertified in multiple welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick weldingElectrician certification or demonstrated experience in electrical workStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment CTR Group is an equal employment opportunity employer.
