Quality Control Supervisor

Overview In this hands-on leadership role at Twist Bioscience, you will guide daily QC operations, manage product releases, and drive continuous improvement of molecular biology testing methods. You’ll mentor a QC team and collaborate across R&D, Operations, and Engineering to ensure GMP and ISO 13485 compliance. You’ll implement robust QC methods, transfer new procedures to production, and build quality metrics that inform decisions. Your work will shape manufacturing quality at scale in a cutting-edge biotech environment. ResponsibilitiesLead, train, and mentor a team of QC associatesOversee daily QC product releases and ensure timely, correct executionImplement, maintain, and improve QC methods in the production labAssist with documenting process improvementsEstablish quality and reliability standards with cross-functional partnersCollaborate on corporate quality standards, documentation, and SOPsPartner with R&D to transfer new methods to production and establish robust protocolsWork with automated robotic platforms and LIMS for data tracking and analysisTroubleshoot production and lab issues; apply statistical tools to build quality metricsPrepare and present product and process quality reports and trend analysesTrain manufacturing operators on SOPs for data processingEnsure GMP, ISO 13485, and regulatory compliance Key requirementsBS in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or related scientific discipline1+ years of industrial QC or operations experience in a regulated manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of QC/QA principles, ISO 13485 and GMPKnowledge of molecular biology techniques (PCR, cloning, sequencing) and analytical tools (spectroscopy, gel electrophoresis)Experience with automated robotic systems and LIMS environmentsProven troubleshooting and data analysis skills; strong verbal and written communicationleadershipteam collaborationproblem-solvingPCRCloningSequencing
