Job Title: Health & Safety ManagerLocation: Normal, IL, USDuration: Full timeJob descriptionDevelop and implement a comprehensive safety management system. This includes providing leadership and support for the line-driven safety process, behaviour-based safety, ergonomics, fire prevention, security, industrial hygiene, hazard communications, and other safety and health related program.Ensure the plant maintains its VPP Star status. Serve as the plant's laser safety officer and radiation safety officer (positions required by OSHA). Coordinate new chemical screening and approval programs. Establish and manage contractor safety programs.Manage the industrial hygiene activities including medical surveillance, air monitoring, noise, laser, ventilation, hazard communication, new chemical screening/approval and radiation safety. Establish and manage the radiation program including monitoring, inspection, and reporting.Provide guidance on regulatory and legislative matters (OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, WC) and oversee government compliance inspections and activities. Develop written programs, procedures and policies to ensure compliance.
