Early Intervention Speech Language Pathologist
POSITION SUMMARY:
As part of our mission to help children create a clear pathway to a bright future, Clear Path Pediatric Therapy LLC (www.clearpathpediatrictherapy.com) currently has an opening for a full or part-time Early Intervention Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team, providing speech therapy services to the birth-3 population. There is also flexibility to provide services to older populations, if interested! This position requires treatment only, no evaluations are needed.
Clear Path Pediatric Therapy LLC is a small, Speech Language Pathologist owned and operated private practice offering various services to children ages birth-21 across various settings including homes, daycares, preschools, local school districts, private schools, and cyber schools in Central PA. We strive to create a positive, supportive and collaborative environment for our therapists. Our therapists are offered wonderful supervision and mentorship by a supervisor who holds only a 40% caseload, leaving ample time for YOU. For this position, the Speech Language Pathologist will work closely with other Speech Language Pathologists and professionals (OTs, PTs, Special Instructors, Service Coordinators, Interpreters, Social Workers, etc.) for support as needed, with manageable caseload/workload sizes (wonderful direct/indirect time ratio). This position will require the successful completion of the following tasks:
Plan and implement high quality speech and language therapy to assigned clients, while supporting program implementation (in various, natural settings, including homes, daycares, preschools, community locations, etc.)
Assess the needs, interest, and abilities of the family and child to determine appropriate ways to assist the family in meeting their functional goals as it relates to speech and language therapy
Provide family/caregiver coaching to offer suggestions and strategies to assist with achieving goals outlined in IFSP
Collaborate with other professionals as part of the multidisciplinary team to address and meet each client’s individual needs
Participate as a vital member of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) planning team to provide recommendations
Assess on an ongoing basis the functional skills of the child in the areas of receptive and expressive language skills, oral motor development, feeding and swallowing, and augmentative communication needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation by providing families with individual session notes the include the outcome, strategies used, recommendations, and plans for the next session
Report on client progress through quarterly reviews/reports and annual evaluations (evaluation completed by evaluation team)
Maintain a knowledge base of current information and best practices in the field of speech and language development and communication disorders
Maintain client working files following HIPAA regulations
Assume any other responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education/certifications:
MA or MS in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CFs are welcome! Mentorship offered)
Valid PA Department of Education Licensure in Speech Language Pathology (or provisional license for CFs. Can help with this!)
Eligible for PA PROMISe Enrollment (we complete this for you)
A valid driver's license
Access to vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection
Ability to communicate, read, write, and interpret English
