Low-income Multi-family Housing Leasing Professional

SDS is looking for a multi-family leasing professional who will thrive in our culture. This position is responsible for providing on-site leasing and initial compliance review for the Ridpath Club Apartments. We are seeking a dedicated leasing agent who is knowledgeable in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to low-income housing programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting on-site leasing and initial compliance reviews and ensuring that the property meets the necessary standards for affordable housing. This is a fast-paced environment and attention to detail is a requirement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Work Closely with tenants and applicants to lease, certify and recertify · Managing, reviewing, & processing all lease applications, including verifying application information, following up with rental history and prior landlord checks, and checking other references · Lead Management - Following up with all potential tenant leads; Managing and expanding potential lead pipeline · Assisting with marketing, advertising, and promoting the property · Conducting property showings and tours for potential tenants · Assist with move-ins/move-outs · Assist with Annual and Interim recertifications, including scheduling and administering resident interviews, coordinating on-site data collections, and processing of resident information · Assisting management to prepare for state audits · Coordinating apartment inspections for recertification · Maintaining resident files in accordance with company policy & regulatory agency policy · Assisting office staff on other tasks, including collection of rents and social activities · Additional tasks, duties and responsibilities assigned as needed Requirements Excellent customer service skills Emotional stability and ability to thrive in busy, fluid, and sometimes stressful environments Strong verbal and written communication skills Must have a minimum of two (2) years leasing experience in low-income housing environment Must have excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Property Management Software Have a strong understanding of the requirements for HUD and LIHTC programs Monday-through-Friday is the primary work schedule, but evenings and/or weekends may be required on a regular basis and may not be fully known in advance. High school diploma or GED. Case management experience a plus. This position requires the ability to accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions and the ability to understand and perform all on-site resident management software functions. Must be capable of physically accessing all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities. Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry or maneuver weights of up to 50lbs. independently and 100 lbs. with assistance.
