Regional Surgery Center Administrator

Location: San Ramon, CA & Pleasanton, CAWork Model: Onsite (No Remote)Position Type: Full-TimeThe Regional Surgery Center Administrator will provide leadership and operational oversight for multiple Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). This role is responsible for managing facility operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and physician relationships, while ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide operational and financial oversight for multiple ASC facilitiesLead day-to-day operations in collaboration with administrators, physicians, and governing boardsEnsure compliance with regulatory, accreditation (AAAHC), and safety standardsDevelop and manage operating, staffing, and capital budgetsMonitor financial performance and mitigate operational risksBuild and maintain strong physician partnerships and medical staff relationshipsOversee credentialing processes and contract management (vendors & physicians)Lead, mentor, and develop facility leadership teamsDrive quality improvement, infection control, and patient experience initiativesPartner with corporate leadership on reporting, audits, and strategic initiativesIdentify opportunities for service line growth and operational improvementsMust-Have RequirementsBachelor's degree (required)5-7+ years of healthcare leadership experienceExperience in Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) OR hospital surgical leadership with ASC exposureStrong experience in multi-site operations managementKnowledge of healthcare regulatory and accreditation standards (AAAHC preferred)Strong financial and operational management experienceRequired SkillsExpertise in healthcare operations and facility managementStrong financial acumen (budgeting, P&L, cost management)Leadership and team development skillsExperience managing physician relationships and partnershipsStrong knowledge of compliance, quality, and patient safety standardsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred / Nice-to-Have SkillsDirect experience managing multiple ASC facilitiesExperience in multispecialty surgical centersExposure to orthopedics, GI, pain management, plastic surgery, or gynecology servicesStrong background in process improvement and healthcare operations optimizationCore CompetenciesExecutive leadership and decision-makingStrategic planning and operational excellenceFinancial and business acumenRelationship management (physicians & stakeholders)Quality and patient-centered care focusEducationBachelor's Degree (Required)Master's Degree (Preferred)Additional NotesOversees two ASC facilities in San Ramon and PleasantonRequires strong multi-site leadership experienceFocus on quality care, operational efficiency, and physician collaborationOccasional travel required
