Locums - Decatur, Georgia, NP/PA General Surgery Opening Assignment Details Coverage Dates: August 3, 2026 - December 31, 2026 Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Additional Coverage: Possible rotating weekend shifts Setting: Hospital-based (Operating Room) No outpatient clinic responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities Assist in surgical cases with primary focus on General Surgery Additional specialties include Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Urology, and ENT Weekly case volume: 90-110 scheduled (non-urgent) cases Daily case volume: 10-30 cases Provide intraoperative support alongside surgical team Cases may occasionally extend beyond scheduled hours (up to 6:00-7:00 PM) Collaborate with surgeons and OR staff Document all care in EMR Call Coverage No call required Practice Setting Hospital operating room environment Support staff includes surgeon, scrub tech, circulating RN, and CRNA Hospital management may assist in OR cases EMR: Epic Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible NP/PA - Required Active Georgia license - Required BLS - Required Why Decatur, Georgia Decatur offers a vibrant community just outside of Atlanta with a blend of culture and convenience.
