Certified Dog Groomer

Job Overview Olivia's Pack LLC is a small business located right on the Newark, DE/Elkton, MD state line! We offer personalized dog training, grooming, and pet sitting services. We are seeking a skilled Certified Dog Groomer to join our team and tackle our high demand for grooming services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals and providing top-notch grooming services to dogs. Seeking either Part-Time or Full-Time. Part-Time: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from about 8:00a-4:00p Full-Time: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from about 8:00a-4:00p We can be flexible if you'd like to add on Friday and Saturday periodically, but we would at least need Sunday, Monday and Tuesday help consistently. Duties - Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and full body haircuts - Handle pets with care and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process - Assess pet coats and skin for any health issues or abnormalities - Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences, as well as having friendly customer service when greeting and building a relationship with pet owners - Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area - Monitor and report any behavioral or health concerns observed during grooming sessions - Check clients in and out using our POS system. We do not take walk-ins so you would only be responsible for greeting the clients you are expecting on schedule. Experience - Prior education and hands-on experience as a Certified Dog Groomer - Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements - Strong animal handling skills and understanding of pet behavior - Certification from a reputable grooming school or program - Passion for working with animals and providing excellent customer service - Experience with cat grooming would be a bonus, but not required Requirements - Must be at least 18 years old - Must have reliable transportation to work - Must be able to lift dogs if needed and not have any health conditions that could hinder your ability to complete the work -Must provide a portfolio/photos of your work with the resume More Job Details - 55% commission-based pay, plus 100% tips. We recently raised our grooming prices to stay competitive locally and offer fair wages. - We work one-on-one with the dogs so you will not be slammed with stacked appointments. - Working in a small business provides a family feel! You will get the chance to really bond with your clients and their dogs, as well as the rest of our small team. - Flexible scheduling, hours and time off! The building's hours of operation may vary because we are open by appointment only.
